If you get frustrated at reading the editorials from the big papers and want to state your case, here is your chance.

We will publish all reasonably well-crafted opinion essays here.

Feel free to include any relevant profile information you might want to include with you essay.

Here are some tips for your essay:

1. Start with a paragraph introducing the general subject area you will be addressing. Be sure to include what might have triggered your decision to write about it (i.e. responding to another editorial, or a recent Supreme Court decision, or a recent legislative debate.)
2. In the second paragraph, state your specific position as clearly and concisely as possible.
3. Follow with paragraphs supporting that position.
4. Offering exculpatory arguments (i.e. contrary arguments) will give the readers a better sense of even-handedness in your approach to arriving at your position.
5. End your essay with a summary statement. Think of it as your closing argument.
