I have been interested in political debate ever since I got into an argument with one of my teachers in junior year of high school.  

Since that time, I have often found myself inspired by news, events, and editorials here and there, often resulting in firing off a "Letter to the Editor" of major papers including several to the New York Times .

Some of my letters have made it into the editorials of other papers .

I have also participated in talk radio. You can listen to me debate Mark Levine on the Iraq war situation here .

I have been inspired to create this website by the apparent value I saw in vigorous debates with my rivals on the left, and my brother Phil. Often the audiences to such debates walked away with better value than the actual debaters.

Too much of talk radio and post-repost bulletin board websites waste time on the superficial aspects of issues without getting into the meat. Too many editorial pages are driven by an agenda of settling old scores and fighting yesterday's idealogical battles without waking up to new realities.

I hope this site can get passed those problems by providing an Op-Ed page that is written by regular people.
